Question Any1 know anything

Hey does any1 know anything about factions? cause i hear they arent gonna make max lvl higher than 20.
I really believe new game should at lease double lvls..(40? thats not too much to ask seeing as some games have a max lvl of 220) In my opinion i think that a higher level should be achieved, it can't be that hard for the makers of the game. Its kind of confuzing for me. its like syaing ok guys.. i bought a new game an hour ago... im maxed lvl already? seriously wtf. When i talk to friends that play rpg's/mmorpg's they laugh and ask if im serious when i say 20's max?

Well i could go on all day about it but this is me asking you. What are your opinions about the 20 lvl max? and is there any plans to make a higher max lvl?

Raising levels changes nothing. You raise levels, damage, and monster levels all at the same increments to achieve the balance they already have achieved.

So your level 100 guy would do exactly the same percentage damage to the level 110 boss as your level 20 does to a level 22 boss.

Other than bigger numbers and more grind, there is simply no point.

true but lvling up would take much longer, keeping you entertained longer. Have you ever played WoW it takes about 6 months to lvl up to lvl 60? It balances out the same, but it gives more range in between.

i am level 1 and have a level 1 fireball that kills the level 2 monsters in 2-3 hits.

i am level 5 and have a level 5 fireball that kills the level 7 monsters in 2-3 hits.

i am level 10 and have a level 10 fireball that kills the level 12 monsters in 2-3 hits.

i am level 20 and have a level 20 fireball that kills the level 22 monsters in 2-3 hits.

i am level 40 and have a level 40 fireball that kills the level 42 monsters in 2-3 hits.

i am level 60 and have a level 60 fireball that kills the level 62 monsters in 2-3 hits.

LOOK AT MY GREAT PROGRESS

where is the increase in challenge?

where is anything changing except the number?

Griding for levels is not entertaining to me. If you are so entertained with it taking forever to reach the optimal level/gear, go play WoW or some other MMO. Guild Wars is unique in the fact that grinding for hours won't make your character any stronger. I am almost certain ANet will not up the max level in Factions and for good reason.

Guild Wars, in contrast, is based around your skill as a player. Our maximum level is twenty and you hit that very quickly, after about 20-30 hours of play. ,We call that 'The Point of Ascension'. Almost all of the content in the game and in the future Chapters is only available to Ascended characters, which means we don't have to worry about providing different levels of content. All the good stuff will be available to everyone. It's not our intent to force people onto the levelling up treadmill, so the level cap in Guild Wars is almost meaningless.

There are numerous threads here (and elsewhere) explaining why the level cap should not (and will not) be raised. ArenaNet has announced innumerable times that the level cap will not be raised. If you want your "leet level 5000" characters, I suggest you go play some MMO's. This is not the game for you. Guild War's aim's at easily accessable maxed level characters so that new players (with skill) can beat players that have been playing 24/7 since april 2005. It just works that way. I like it. Thats why I play Guild Wars. Deal With It.

If you buy a tennis ball, you really shouldn't get frustrated that you can't play soccer with it very well. Guild Wars isn't about leveling and grinding for exp. It's about honing your skills and using them against either monsters or players.

If you want the level cap to change then why don't you just go play WoW instead of complaining?

1) the lvl cap evens things out so u can't be god-like on this game ... unlike SOME games... *cough* WoW! *Cough*

2) read the Factions FAQ at Guildwars.com

3)yes, the lvl cap for factions will also be 20

I meant like 20-30 hours and you can be leet as to maybe 300-400 hours to get leet. If it was hard workk then i'd go for 20-30 hours. But its not work its a game... and WoW costs about 18.25$ a month for online play... not every kid can afford that. Im not against guild wars at all but i would still like 40-60 hours minimum.

see my point at all?

ummm..........i have about 1000+ hours and am still having fun.

most who started when the game came out have at least 500-2000 hours.

all of us are either wrong or we see something you dont.

getting to level 20 is just the start.

you are brainwashed that the *DING* is the game not playing it.

edit

and i do not PVP at all

I think you fail at life for suggesting the level should be raised above 20.

Go play some other game and dont ruin ours.

20 is max level but it is like life.

you dont hit 20 years old and die there is a whole life ahead of you.

you dont get stronger in absolute terms but smarter with more tricks to pull.

QUESTION

HAVE YOU GOTTEN THE EXTRA 30 ATTRIBUTE POINTS FROM THE DESERT QUESTS?

200 TOTAL OR HAVE YOU ONLY 170 FROM REACHING LEVEL 20?

The problem that people have is the mindset that once you reach level 20 the game is over and there is no more insentive to play. While the goal in other games may be to get to the maximum level, that is not the goal here in Guild Wars. Once you've reached level 20, try exploring some harder areas like the FoW, UW, and ToPK. Try coming up with farming builds if that doesn't suit you. Try to get everything unlocked for your characters. What I like about Guild Wars is it doesn't require a huge time investment to be good.

In a logical standpoint...not really. sure you can get to level 20 in 20-30 hours of gameplay..BUT. BUT...if you think just getting to level 20 means you are "leet" then at least half the whole guild wars gaming community must be "UBER LEET" because they have many level 20's. Getting to the point, there are no 'leet' characters on Guild Wars. It all depends on your SKILL LEVEL as a PERSON not CHARACTER LEVEL.

Very well stated, indeed.
